With the holidays right around the corner, Miki is currently promoting her Christmas album entitled, “A Sleigh Ride Together With You.” We asked her a few questions about what jazz means to her, and about her latest (Holiday themed) album!   http://entertwine.net/rising-artist-miki-harvey/

Miki Harvey: the next Diana Krall?

Miki Harvey is an up-and-coming contemporary jazz musician from Seattle, Washington.  You need to hear her voice on “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” She could give Diana Krall a run for her money. Miki graduated in Music/Business Fundamentals from BYU Hawaii in 2012 and has been working on her music ever since.

She has won numerous vocal awards including 2003 Winner Sunfest, 2003 Best of Show Water Follies Talent Show, 2003 Lionel Hampton Outstanding Soloist Award (featured in ensemble), 2004 Lionel Hampton 1st runner-up Alto Division HS, 2005 Lionel Hampton 1st runner up Alto Division HS, 2012 Eastern Washington Dialogue Festival Outstanding Soloist Winner Collegiate, and was most recently featured as a 2013 Semi-Finalist at Seattle-Kobe Sister City Audition at Jazz Alley.

Miki is currently on track to release a Christmas album on iTunes in November of this year. Follow her on Facebook and Soundcloud for more updates.
